  • 1 cup Sooji /Rava/Semolina
  • ½ cup fresh (Curd) Dahi
  • Cooking oil to deep fry
  • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 20gm Ginger grated
  • ½ teaspoon soda
  • 1 green chilli chopped
  • Salt to taste
Instructions
  1. Take a bowl, mix 1 cup Sooji /Rava/Semolina and ½ cup fresh (Curd) Dahi
  2. Add ginger grated cumin seeds, green chilli chopped and salt as per taste.
  3. Add water in the bowl and mix it well. Check the thickness of the vada batter. Add a pinch of soda.
  4. Make a stiff dough. The batter should not be runny or too hard.
  5. Keep aside the sooji vada batter for ½ hour.
  6. Make small flat round vada and a hole in center by applying water to hands.
  7. Heat cooking oil in a pan or kadhai for deep fry. Check the heating oil by adding a small ball Vada batter.
  8. Deep fry all vadas on medium flame till to golden brown. Then transfer into paper towel in a plate.
  9. Now crispy, chutney Sooji vada with onion, sauce is ready to serve.
