Ingredients
  • Prawns 250gm
  • 4 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 dry red chillis
  • 1 tablespoon Panch phoron [cumin seeds (jeera), mustard seeds (Sarson), fennel seeds (saunf), fenugreek seeds (methi), nigella seed (kala jeera)]
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • ½ cup coconut chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves (lehsun)
  • 2 green chillies
  • 2 inch ginger (adrak)
  • 1 tablespoon cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1 tablespoon chilli (mirchi) powder
  • 2 tablespoon turmeric (haldi) powder
  • Coriander leaves (dhaniya pata) chopped
  • ½ tablespoon Fish masla powder
Instructions
  1. Peel prawns, remove the head and legs. Marinate prawns with turmeric (haldi) powder and little salt. Keep aside.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoon cooking oil in a pan. Fry prawns perfectly on both sides. Transfer the fried prawns to a plate.
  3. Heat again the pan with 3 tablespoon cooking oil. Add in Panch phoron and 2 dry red chillies.
  4. When it starts cracking add chopped onion and fry it till to brown.
  5. Add turmeric (haldi) powder, chilli (mirchi) powder and salt to taste.
  6. Prepare ginger (adrak), garlic cloves (lehsun), coconut chopped, green chillies paste with a smooth mixture grinder.
  7. Add ginger (adrak), garlic cloves (lehsun), coconut chopped, green chillies paste, fish masala powder in the pan and stir it well. Cook it about 5mins on low flame. Check the raw smell disappears.
  8. Add tomato puree into the pan and mix it very well.
  9. Add water (as per your gravy thickness) in the masala of the pan.
  10. Add fried prawns in the pan and granish with coriander leaves (dhaniya pata) chopped.
  11. Easy Prawns curry recipe is ready to serve with rice or roti.
